The ratio tracking will not work properly until further notice.
All public/anonymous accounts have incidentally also been disabled.
Update: Fixed - that was easier than I expected.
I'll get the public accounts working asap.

For those of you who haven't noticed (and for those who have) the tracker is currently down right now. We don't have an ETA as to when it will be back up, but we are working on finding a solution to get it back up and running ASAP.
Please do not make forum posts or send help requests regarding this matter. We know it is down and at the moment there is nothing we can do to change that.
Thank you for your patience in this matter.
Update 03/07/2008 02:50:57 : The tracker is back online (Force)
Looking at the slight explosion of forums posts concerning PHP errors and a malfunctioning tracker I guess I owe you guys an explanation.
I'm actually trying to accomplish two things:
1. Improve MySQL database layout
2. Refactor heavily used pages to allow for better caching and add some Web2.0 stuff to make the site faster (hopefully).
I'm about half way done with the MySQL database improvements, until then the topten will be disabled (the code on that page is horrible). After I rewrite the torrent swapping I'll be tackling the user accounts some time this week or next week or the week after than or .. anyway I'll try to make it go smoother than the previous 'improvement'.
As you may have noticed I've already done 'something' with the torrent tables as the tracker wasn't feeling too happy with new torrents today. All those issues have been fixed, if there's anything I've missed let me know either by PM or by posting here.
As for the refactoring, I've added some minor Web2.0 stuff to the details page, fancy tabs!

(note to self: check with Internet Explorer) Expect a lot more things like that. If you have any suggestions on nifty web2.0 thingamajigs feel free to post, oh I will be implementing a rich-text-editior aka wysiwyg for the descriptions and I've already got some plans for the keyword system. I'll also be adding those fancy tabs to more pages.
To conclude, don't be too alarmed if something breaks, if it's still broken after an hour make a post here and I'll eventually see it.
Oh and before I forget ..
we have a new staff member! All hail
kureshii, many of you might recognize him by his omgwtfcute avatar. He'll be helping out answering your questions.
G'night

We did some unscheduled maintenance yesterday due to the exposure of a security bug.
I have rewritten the login procedure, it may affect people with dynamic IPs.
After that the server went down for a couple of hours because of scheduled maintenance of our host.
Everything is back up and running.
--Jarudin--
Few minor details
- Upgraded smf to 1.1.5
- Removed 'corp-lt02' theme, its incompatible.
- Added 7 new themes
edited: i fixed spoiler tags, report any errors here

Ok ever since the first boxtorrents tshirts have been sold people have asked about them. 3 years later theyre gonna make a come back!
If you werent around the first time around heres what happens.
Over the next month (lets give a deadline of 23 june) you can design a tshirt design and put up a link to it in the thread on the forums. Once the deadline hits i will pick what i think are the best 10 designs and a poll will be made in which everyone will be able to vote on. after a week (1st july) a winner will be announced and the tshirts will be created and sold. The winner will receieve a free tshirt and the bragging rights to say theyve designed a tshirt thats going to be sold world wide
please make sure to keep a very high resolution version of the picture but only post a web version on here and if you can limit the number of colours to 6 it makes for a much cleaner design as the printers can only print 6 colours onto a shirt!
any questions just ask

Tracker is down pending investigation of issue that lead to a server restart on 19th May 2008 @ 0938 server location time
Current ETA is 10hours (it's 2am here, i got work at 7.30am, i will check the server during my lunch break)
